1. Q-Voicesaver is designed to work with both two-prong or modular telephone systems and hand/head sets. Determine which configuration you will use. 2. Determine where you will use the Q-Voicesaver and locate an AC outlet nearby. Plug the transformer into the outlet and route the power cord to the Q-Voicesaver. Connect the power cord to the jack on the back of the Q-Voicesaver unit labeled POWER. 3. Remove the coiled telephone cord from the plastic bag and plug one end into the jack on the back of the Q-Voicesaver unit labeled PHONE OUT. 4. If you have a modular phone system, plug the outer end of the coiled cord into the telephone or console jack where the hand / headset would normally go. If you have a two-prong system, plug the other end of the coiled cord into the optional two-prong adapter. Now plug the adapter into the hand / headset jack of the telephone console. 5. Plug your hand / headset into the appropriate jack on the front of the Q-Voicesaver. 6. The Q-Voicesaver message #1 may be triggered by the activator switch on the top right corner of the Q-Voicesaver unit or with the optional remote switch. If you wish to use the optional remote switch, plug it into the jack on the front of the Q-Voicesaver unit labeled REMOTE KEYING. Place the switch where it is convenient to reach. 7. You are now ready to record your voice greeting(s). Refer to the operating instructions.
